OK, actually it’s not The Simpsons favorite Con, it’s Dragon*Con in Metro Atlanta over Labor Day weekend. I’ve arranged with the Science Track leaders to get on their agenda. We’re planning two presentations:

Light a light bulb with just radio waves, see Morse code beat text messaging and watch how everyday items become antennas in an emergency.

We had our planning meeting today for the Post-Apocalyptic session. It’s going to be fun, we’re going to start with a Day 0 “Local” disaster and talk about local nets, ARES, linked repeaters, etc. Then expand it out to HF topics, Shortwave, etc as the days go on.

We’re meeting on the second one in the next few weeks, but I think we have a few concepts. If anyone has ideas, I’d love to hear them.
